Surrey, B.C. – Early registration for City of Surrey licensed preschool programs for the 2024-2025 school year will be staggered by community. Registration will open at 7:30 a.m., online at surrey.ca/register, in-person at recreation facilities and by phone at 604-501-5100.

  • Tuesday, February 6: Fleetwood, Guildford, Fraser Heights
  • Wednesday, February 7: Cloverdale, Whalley
  • Thursday, February 8: South Surrey, Newton

Preschool Open Houses will be taking place on January 20, 22 and 24 at various recreation facilities before registration opens. This will be a great opportunity for parents and guardians to meet instructors, view the preschool spaces and bring all their questions about what their child will learn.

“Our preschool programs offer a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters respect and compassion in all children,” said Corrie Elliott, manager of Preschool Programs. “We provide a responsive approach to early learning that embraces all areas of child development, promotes positive self-image, and encourages these characteristics in all children through to adulthood.”

The City of Surrey aims to provide affordable, high-quality childcare programs for children ages 3 to 5. Patrons may qualify for financial assistance through the Affordable Child Care Benefit for licensed programs. Monthly payment plans are also available.

Patrons are encouraged to prepare for preschool registration by ensuring they create a MySurrey account and that their account information is updated. In addition, patrons are recommended to add a family member to their account in advance by calling 604-501-5100 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
