Surrey, BC – The Museum of Surrey’s TD Explore Zone (TDEZ), a free interactive children’s gallery that focuses on sustainability and City of Surrey initiatives, reopens for safe, registered visits on November 2, 2021.

After being closed since March 15, 2020 due to COVID-19, the museum will be offering free, 45-minute sessions to experience the gallery. Patrons must pre-register in person or by telephone.

“We are delighted to safely welcome families back to the TD Explore Zone with enhanced sanitizing and cleaning to ensure your safety while enjoying the space,” said Museum of Surrey Manager Lynn Saffery.

Designed to be a place to play, laugh and explore, the TD Explore Zone includes fun activity areas, including a tree fort for climbing, safe experiments with electricity, a wind wall and fishing boat.

The TD Explore Zone is open during regular hours with breaks for cleaning with a 15-person occupancy per time slot, including adults. The door will remain open for extra ventilation and masks are mandatory for visitors 5+. Proof of vaccine required for those 12+. Preregistration is required by phone (604-592-6956) or in-person at Reception. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
