Newton Community Centre
Learn about the new Newton Community Centre coming to Newton in 2024.
The City has plans to build a new community centre in Newton at 6965 King George Boulevard. This new state-of-the-art community hub will be achieved through a multi-phase development with the potential to provide aquatic, cultural, library and recreation services to meet the demand of the fast-growing Newton community.
Surrey City Council approved the initial $100M investment that will fund a contract award for an aquatic component that includes a 50-metre swimming pool. The facility will offer length swimming, swimming lessons and programming, hot tub, and multi-purpose space.
This inclusive and universally accessible facility will embrace the diverse culture of Surrey and meet the vision and goals of the City’s Sustainability Charter. Outdoor amenity space will also be provided.
Phase 1 Engagement Results
Phase 1 Engagement saw the participation of several thousand community members, and included a public survey, an interactive Online engagement hub, and virtual internal and external stakeholder sessions. View the Phase 1 Engagement Report to learn what we heard.
