REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS
PROJECT BACKGROUND
The City of Surrey (the “City”) through internal workforces and hired equipment contractors, completes various hydro excavation projects. The purpose of this RFQ is to locate a deposition site for the excavated material.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City seeks a qualified Contractor for the purpose of deposition services of hydro excavated material. Estimated Quantities may range from 1,500 to 2,000 loads per year.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES
The works to be completed may include, but are not limited to, receiving material from both City staff and contractors performing work on behalf of the City.
In addition, the City requires the Contractor to obtain soil permits for fill material to be placed on properties within respective municipalities where applicable. This requirement ensures that placement of materials on sites does not affect neighbouring properties or local stormwater system operations, and is in conformance with the Agricultural Land Reserve requirements.
The Contractor is required to have a site suitable for receiving hydro excavator equipment of varying sizes. The Contractor should have properly constructed access, dumping and egress points.
ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
