Addendum

OVERVIEW
The City of Surrey is seeking to obtain the services of a Senior Project Manager (“PM”) to support the successful delivery of our Police Transition Program.

It is expected that the successful Proponents’ candidate will be available on a full-time basis (8 hours per day) and available to work on-site at Surrey City Hall for up to 5 full days per week. The Contractor may be required to work at new locations if requested & as the project evolves.

  1. The Senior PM is accountable for the successful delivery of the related project in alignment with Program Sponsor, Program Manager and other project managers under the same program.
  2. The Senior PM will provide senior level of expertise to the City of Surry project team for all aspects of project including initiation, execution, monitoring, implementation and closing.
  3. The Senior PM is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of the project charter.
  4. Contractor should be prepared to start immediately after the evaluations are complete. It is expected that the Evaluations should complete approximately 10 days after the Closing Date of the RFP.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable to the Program Manager for delivery of the expected scope and to the Manager, Business Transformation Services for the process of delivery;

  1. Reporting to the Manager, Business Transformation Service, and working closely with the related line of business as well as the other project streams, Senior PM will coordinate strategies and deliverables to support the initiative.
  2. Works with Program Manager and business leads to develop and maintain the detailed work stream project charter, WBS, risk register, critical path and all other project management artifacts;
  3. Works with the Program Manager to understand goals and objectives, benefits and detriments of the proposed changes, manage expectations, report status and escalate issues; 
  4. Works collaboratively within the City of Surrey, Surrey Police Service, the project team, and other work streams to resolve scheduling conflicts;
  5. Ensures regular status reporting and the resolution of issues and/ or appropriate escalation;
  6. Tracks and reports on integrated project plans, identifies intra-dependencies and impacts and advises on how to achieve objectives considering integrated project plans.

ADDENDA
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
