Live 5210 Playbox


City parks, beaches, playgroundsskateparks, (and sports courts, effective June 8) are all open for casual use only. Visitors are asked to follow posted signage and keep 2 metres of physical distance from each other to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

The LIVE 5210 Playbox Program is suspended until further notice, to minimize risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission. 

Be active and access sports equipment and games with Live 5-2-1-0 Playboxes. Simply unlock the box, enjoy the gear, return it when you're finished and have fun!

Playboxes are big tool boxes located in 12 City of Surrey Parks which are stocked with all sorts of play and sports equipment. Everyone is able to sign up for free access to the Playbox, which is accessible from dawn to dusk, or when the park is open. Please return the equipment to the Playbox after each use to allow it to be available for other users.


Surrey parks are open throughout the year from dawn until dusk.

*Note: Hazelgrove Park, Hummingbird Park, Magee Park and Starr Park Live 5210 Playboxes will be removed for maintenance until March 2020.

To access the equipment contained in the Playbox, you can either:

Combinations will change annually, and users will receive an email confirmation of a new code if email is provided at time of registration.

Opening the Playbox

Line up the code provide with the two dashes on the lock. Please remember to lock the box when you are done and scramble up the code to assure the lock is secure.
