Ocean Park Terrace and Community Orchard
Visit the orchards, have a picnic and enjoy the open fields at Ocean Park Terrace in South Surrey.
City parks are open for casual use. To minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission, stay home when sick, stay 2 metres apart, do not gather in groups, and wear a mask in crowded spaces. Spectators for outdoor sports are not permitted as per new public health orders.
Ocean Park Terrace was initially established in the 1980s through the subdivision of the surrounding neighbourhood. You'll find some large open green spaces ideal for tossing around a frisbee or just relaxing on a hot summer day.
About Ocean Park Community Orchard
In the summer of 2016, the City approved a proposal put forward by residents in Ocean Park to create a small community orchard on the northern lot located at 12815 22nd Avenue.
The Ocean Park Community Orchard is the result of a proposal put forward by members of the Surrey/White Rock Food Action Coalition, the Ocean Park Community Association, the Ocean Park Neighbours as well as other local residents with interest in community food growing.
The project consists of a small grove of fruit trees, a walking path and flower beds with bulb and shrub plantings.
The Ocean Park Community Orchard Stewards plan a number of events in the spring, including participation in the Environmental Extravaganza. If you would like to find out more about the orchard or join the organizing team, visit the OPCO Facebook page or contact the OPCO Stewards at email@example.com.
