DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Work involves a variety of Asphalt Cutting and Coring Services on an “as needed and when requested” basis including but not limited to vacuum clean-up, concrete/asphalt removal and proper disposal, lane closures, equipment set-up and take down, as required.

The Services are generally required at the beginning of the work day at multiple sites around the City simultaneously. The City will attempt to provide a schedule of up to 3 weeks in advance for known cuts; but, the nature of the services does not always allow for advanced notice.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Services to be performed by the Contractor should include but are not limited to the following:

1. Furnishing all plant, labour, equipment, supplies, materials, traffic control, and supervision necessary to properly complete operations of cutting and coring of existent bituminous and concrete pavements and structures.
2. The Contractor will provide all services on an “as needed and when requested” basis [24/7/365] for various job sites being worked on by City construction projects, which include but are not limited to all aspects of road construction, utility work, City work and intersection and maintenance services.
3. The referenced Services as written are stated in general terms. The lack and/or omission of any detailed specifications do not minimize acceptable levels of service and only the best commercial practices are acceptable. Inclusive of vacuum clean-up, concrete/asphalt removal and proper disposal, lane closures, equipment set-up and take down; and travel time, as required.
