REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS

PURPOSE


The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment for Pest Control, Preventative Maintenance and any other requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF GOODS AND SERVICES

The City of Surrey is seeking qualified, licensed contractors to provide Pest Control Services at various sites within the City of Surrey. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to accomplish the monitoring, management and pest removal component of the Pest Control Program. The Contractor shall provide Pest Control Services as specified within the Agreement that shall encompass the unique requirement for each site. Some sites will require regular monthly/quarterly monitoring and other sites on an as and when required basis. The services should be performed with the established best practices for a municipal environment incorporating the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques recommended by the Ministry of Land, Water, and Air Protection and /or other well-established industry standards (Environmental Standards Branch Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy).

The Services may involve various types of pests including rodents, bees, wasps, silverfish, cockroaches, ants, birds, flies and other pests as the demand requires. The Contractor should maintain and update its knowledge of best pest management techniques for all these pests and other seasonal pests as they are identified. In some situations, the service may include cleaning up and disposing of dead pests and their feces, as well as sealing off points of pest entry/exit points.

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
