Recreation Surrey is pleased to offer online fitness classes to keep your body moving at home! All fitness videos require minimal equipment and are suited for all ages. 

Before participating, consult your doctor, wear proper attire and take the online ParQ+ fitness assessment. It is the physical activity readiness questionnaire. Complete this form at least once a year to ensure that you are prepared for physical activity. Please modify any of these online fitness classes to meet your own personal fitness levels, drink lots of water and have fun!

  • Adapted Circuit Training

    Adapted Circuit Training

    This inclusive workout is specifically modified for a wheelchair user or someone who prefers to exercise in a seated position! Demonstrations outlined focus on the arms and core. Equipment required: dumbbells or a weight alternative. Video length: 25 minutes.

    Core Conditioning

    This cardio workout is hardcore! Follow exercises and positions that takes strength and endurance in your abs, back, arms, legs and core. No equipment required. Video length: 30 minutes.

    Functional Training

    Have fun with a functional training workout to help the movement of your day-to-day functionality! This class uses seven movement patterns: push, pull, bend, rotate, squat, lunge and gait. Equipment required: a yoga mat and one dumbbell (or weight alternative). Video length: 30 minutes.

    Fit 55+ is specifically modified for seniors who want to keep active at home. Participate in a low-impact cardio exercise and enjoy a chair workout too. Equipment required: chair, resistance band and light weights. Video length: 60 minutes.

    Designed for seniors, this class includes a warm up, muscle strengthening exercises, stretches and a cool down session - all from the seat of your chair! Make sure you have water close by and modify according to your ability. Equipment required: chair, resistance bands, weights (or a weight alternative), yoga block (or yoga block alternative) and a ball. Video length: 45 minutes.
