Surrey in the 60s
September 12 | 6:30-7:30pm | Microsoft Teams
Explore a decade of rapid change for Surrey. Through photos, maps, oral histories and more, Surrey Archives will highlight the political, social and economic changes of 1960s Surrey.
Trivia Night: Surrey’s Transportation History
October 17 | 6:30-7:30pm | Museum of Surrey
Test your knowledge of local transportation history with Surrey Archives staff. Surrey’s bridges, highways, SkyTrain and more will all be fair game during this trivia event.
Honouring Japanese Canadian History in Surrey
November 28 | 6:30-7:30pm | Microsoft Teams
Learn about the ongoing work of commemorating the history of Surrey’s Japanese Canadian community through this virtual talk with Lorene Oikawa, Past President of the National Association of Japanese Canadians.
Outreach Programs
Are you looking for a speaker? Multimedia presentations delivered by qualified staff from the Surrey Archives include historic photos, audio and more. They are suitable for schools, rotary clubs and retirement homes. Contact us at 604-502-6459 or archives@surrey.ca for more information and to book once programs are running again.
