 Depicting a small oasis of indoor plants, Pagurek’s work evokes hope and resilience in the flourishing of life. Through the use of machine learning, motifs of the plants emerge and recompose against a changing backdrop of winter imagery that follows the movement of the viewer via webcam. Thereby the viewer becomes a participant in the growth and regeneration of the digital collage.
