Updating Your Business Licence
Learn how to update your business licence information.
The quickest way to update your business licence information is through the Online Business Licensing Portal. Please contact the Business Licence team at 604-591-4370 if you need assistance finding your log in information.
You can also complete a Business Licence Application form and check off the type of change you are making.
Submit your application by email to license@surrey.ca or in person at City Hall.

Change of Name
Once processed, a new business licence will be issued to your business.
Change of Address
Once processed, any required inspections are performed based on the type of business.
Change of Owner
There is a $25 fee for changing the ownership of a business. You will need to provide a copy of the purchase and sale agreement. Contact the Business Licence team at 604-591-4370 to see if there are any additional requirements, such as health permits and criminal record checks.
