The SASSY Awards (Service Above Self Surrey Youth) is Semiahmoo Rotary’s celebration and recognition of the fantastic youth who live, work, volunteer, and learn in Surrey and White Rock.
Recognizing and engaging exceptional youth in our community honours the core Rotarian values of Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity and Leadership.
Three finalists will be selected in each of six categories
- Arts & Culture Leadership
- Overcoming Adversity
- Community Service
- Youth Leadership
- Environmental Leadership
- Sports & Recreation Leadership
The recipients of each category will receive a $1,500 award along with $500 donations that each award recipient will present to a charity of their choice. Two finalists in each category will receive $500 awards to honour their achievements in the community as well as a $250 donation to the charity of their choice.
The awards will be presented at the Awards Show on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Surrey Arts Centre.
