Connecting City Hall, Surrey City Centre Library, SFU, KPU and the Civic 3 Tower, this dynamic outdoor community hub is the ideal centralized location for community celebrations. Book your next event at Surrey Civic Plaza. If you're hosting an event that is free for the general public, booking the plaza is free!

Event Application

Events less than 250 people

 Submit your application a minimum of 60 days prior to the event.

  1. Complete the City Hall Plaza Booking Form
  2. Submit your application to the CivicPlaza@surrey.ca

Events more than 250 people

Submit your application a minimum of 90 days prior to the event.

  1. Complete the Festival and Event Support Team (FEST) application
  2. Email CivicPlaza@surrey.ca if you have questions along the way

The FEST committee reviews all events in detail and provides conditions for event approval.

Fees and Charges

Depending on the type of event you are hosting, you may or may not be charged a booking fee. Regardless of if you pay a booking fee, there will be rental charges depending on the size and type of your event.

No booking fee

If your event is free for the general public to attend, there is no fee for the booking of the plaza.

Booking fee

If your event is not free for the general public to attend, the following Civic Plaza booking fees apply:

  Non Profit Group Commercial Events
Hourly Rate $125* $250*
Daily Rate  $1,250** $2,500**


*After 4 hours the daily rate applies
** No activities on the plaza are to occur between 11:00pm and 7:00am
