Park Information

This future 2.2 hectare (5.5 acre) neighbourhood park will be located at 72 Avenue and 191 Street, along the Hazelgrove Greenway. It will be split between the West Clayton and East Clayton Neighbourhood Concept Plan (NCP) areas.

Please note this park site is not connected to Clayton Park. The park improvements are being planned for Park Site H (58B Neighbourhood Park) located within the Clayton Heights neighbourhood.

Park Planning Phase

The City of Surrey is excited to be in the planning phase of new park improvements for Clayton Heights. This phase includes planning the design, development and operation of a future park located near 72 Avenue and 191 Street.

An environmental assessment has been completed and further preliminary reviews are being conducted. The site is bisected by a Fortis BC gas main, which will be considered when planning park amenities in this park.

From February to March 2021, residents were invited to take part in an online survey to help guide the planning,  amenities, and naming of 58B Neighbourhood Park.

The survey generated a very strong turnout, with over 1,200 responses received. The information we gathered helped us develop a vision, selection of amenities, and concept plan for the future of this park.

Next Steps

If you would like to provide feedback on the concept plan, contact Adam Rossi at adam.rossi@surrey.ca.

The concept will be presented to the Parks, Recreation & Culture Committee (PRCC) in October 2021 for their endorsement of the plan. Detailed design of the park will begin following PRCC's endorsement.
