The City's Sustainability Charter 2.0 ensures we have a long-term community vision that continues to reflect the priorities and needs of our city. Through this process, we have refined the set indicators that will ensure we are measuring impactful outcomes and tell us if we are hitting the mark on sustainability.

World Council on City Data Portal

In November 2015, the City of Surrey pursued ISO 37120 certification, a new global standard for measuring the sustainable development of communities. The certification complements the 'made-in-Surrey' Sustainability Dashboard and facilitates benchmarking our progress against other global cities that are leading on sustainability.

Based on the first international standard on city data, ISO 37120, the World Council on City Data (WCCD) Open Data Portal allows you to see how Surrey measures up to other member cities on up to 100 service performance and quality of life indicators.
