Surrey's Leadership Youth Council
Join a group of peers to develop leadership skills and create space for youth to get involved.
Surrey's Leadership Youth Council (SLYC) is a group of youth between the ages of 14 and 18 years who help youth speak up and have their voices heard with support from the City of Surrey.
SLYC hosts the annual Youth Speak Up forum in October, and is currently working on an online event about Youth Leadership.

Discuss youth leadership in Surrey with members of Surrey's Leadership Youth Council. Youth Speak Up at Online Youth Nights for fun activities and learn about how to get involved. Free virtual event on Microsoft Teams.

Life After High School
SLYC worked on a community action project and created a video exploring the transition to life after high school, with support from Equitas - an international organization focused on advancing equality, social justice and respect for human dignity.
Join SLYC
Do you have thoughts, opinions and ideas about your community? Your first step to become a SLYC member is to sign up as a City of Surrey volunteer. Volunteer applications are accepted in March, August and December.
