Surrey’s newest community centre combines arts, library, and recreation amenities into one facility. Nearby Clayton Park, the facility offers a walking loop, outdoor children's play area and Ready, Set, Grow! community garden.

Universally designed

This welcoming and inclusive facility offers:

  • Hearing loop in the performing arts studio.

  • Accessible computer station and large-print books in the library.

Passive House Certified

Clayton Community Centre is the first community centre in North America to be Passive House Certified. Passive House buildings use up to 90% less energy than comparable buildings, reducing Surrey’s carbon footprint.

Facility features

Arts

Learn more about our visual, performing, and woodworking arts studios and programs. Currently offering a selection of visual and performing arts courses as well as woodworking programs.

Clayton Community Centre also has an artists in residence program with talented local artists.

Public artwork at the centre includes The MomentAs We GatherBear With It, Thunderbeing and Wading and Evading.

Fitness Studio

The fitness studio is designed to host a variety of classes such as yoga, pilates, bootcamp, and HIIT. The fitness studio is equipped with a full mirrored wall, walk through equipment storage, and sprung floor.

You can also participate in indoor cycling at Clayton Community Centre.

Weight Room

The 5,649 square foot weight room includes:

  • strength equipment (free weights, squat racks and benches),
  • cardio equipment (treadmills, stair mills, ellipticals and exercise bikes),
  • sectorized machines (shoulder press, leg press etc.)
  • functional fitness equipment (Synrgy 360 and multi jungle).

We are also excited to introduce several wheelchair accessible sectorized machines, incline and reflex treadmills, and an indoor turf with sled.

Gymnasium

This facility has a single full size gymnasium. Check the gym drop-in schedule to see what’s being offered!

Preschool

Learn about our preschool programs. Childminding is also available for parents attending fitness classes or the weight room. 

Youth

Get your free Youth Services Membership (ages 10 to 18) at any recreation facility in Surrey to access drop-in activities and youth lounges where you can play games, make friends, use sports equipment and more!
