The ban includes white expanded Styrofoam used for protecting and distributing products. It does not include food and beverage containers, packing peanuts, and expanded polystyrene that is painted, soiled or treated.

The City of Surrey does not offer curbside recycling services for Styrofoam. To find a drop-off location near you, visit Metro Vancouver Recycles.
