Celebrate nature at night by exploring stunning light displays set along nature trails at Bear Creek Park each fall.

As the days get shorter, we adorn Bear Creek Park with spectacular displays of light for you to enjoy. As a warm up to the holiday light season, Bear Creek Lights enhances the park's year-round show garden and nature trails.

Getting to Bear Creek Park

If you are traveling by car, make your way to the main parking lot off 88th Avenue (one block east of King George Boulevard).

By bus from Surrey Central Station, you can take the R1 or 321 down King George Blvd or the 325 or 326 along 140 Street.

There is a bike rack at the entrance to the event space, next to the stadium and across from the playground.

Accessibility
  • Pathways are user-friendly for visitors of all abilities.
  • The kilometer of trails are paved or compacted gravel.
  • The trails are flat with varied, gentle slopes.
  • The event space (located at the spray park) has some uneven terrain.
Parking

Event parking is in the main parking lot off 88th Avenue. Some parking may be available near the Surrey Art Centre. We don’t recommend parking in the 140th Street lot as there is no lighting to the garden on the east side of the park.

Check-in

When your timeslot comes around, make your way to the entrance to the garden on the east side of the event space. Have your e-ticket ready to show staff at the ticket booth.

Washrooms

Universal washrooms are available in the new Bear Creek Stadium.

Snacks & beverages
  • Cravings Kettle Corn (with hot beverages) and Little oOtie's Mini Donuts will be on site with us nightly!
  • You can bring your own snacks and drinks but remember to pack it in and pack it out. Take all your waste home with you at the end of your visit and sort it into the appropriate waste streams.
