January 2020

The following forms are in effect as of January 1, 2020:

August 2019

A new permit application form is in place for newly constructed Single Family and Duplex Dwellings, which took effect on September 6, 2019. The New Contractor Single Family and Duplex Dwelling Low Voltage Permit Application form is available under the Forms & Bulletins page. A Bulletin that outlines changes to fees for single family and duplex dwelling permits has been added to the page.

March 2019

We are no longer able to accept documents for different electrical permits within one PDF. One PDF should only have information for one electrical permit. Contractors must submit all documents for one inspection in one PDF. Review how to fill out your forms for Electrical Inspections.

February 2019

February 8, 2019 - Certificate of Inspection slips now being emailed to contractors

As of February 2019, contractors who are registered with the City of Surrey's online system will have their certificate of inspection slips emailed to their registered email address. Slips will be emailed once the site review has been completed. This notification will include all results: Pass, Fail, Deferred, and Cancelled site reviews. Deferred and Cancelled notices will automatically send email notifications without a review slip in real time. We are making these changes to serve you better.

June 2018

June 4, 2018 - Electrical Contractor Authorization and Declaration Of Compliance - Electrical Inspection Request Forms (CAFs) are in effect. Older CAFs will no longer be accepted after July 1, 2018. Contractors are encouraged to download the most up to date CAF on the City of Surrey's Electrical Section Bulletins & Forms page.
