City of Surrey Observes National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Surrey City Hall and Surrey Libraries will be closed on Monday, September 19 to observe the National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. In tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, City Hall Plaza will be illuminated in Royal Purple on Monday.

Surrey City Council approved the appointment of 6 new By-law Officers during a Special Council Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 15.

Central Surrey Recycling and Waste Centre Opens with Free ‘Disposal Days’
To promote the new facility and encourage recycling and proper waste disposal, the City will be hosting “Disposal Days” for Surrey residents to drop off unwanted waste and household items for free or at discounted rates from September 19 to October 2.
