It is covered by a stand of about 1000 mature trees, including Douglas firs, Western red cedars, and Big leaf maples. The large concentration of trees of this age and size is unique and rare in the area. There are two wood-frame houses on the site, one in the Colonial Revival style and the other a vernacular dwelling. See Mound Farm - George Snow House and Bion Smith House to learn more.
