This Committee provides advice and recommendations to Council on social policies, programs and services that ensure connection, inclusion and social equity for the diverse communities in Surrey.

This committee serves as a platform for community voices, gathering input from citizens, social service agencies, and community groups to make recommendations on enhancing livability and social equity in Surrey. It addresses current and emerging issues, ensuring diverse perspectives are represented in the decision-making process.

In addition to advising on social policies, the committee works closely with Council to explore new opportunities for improving social inclusion and equity in the city. Members include council representatives and local volunteers with expertise in social issues, all committed to fostering a more connected and inclusive community.
