Masks are mandatory and must be worn in all City facilities, except when swimming.
Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex, Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre, and Guildford Recreation Centre are open for pool activities. Reservations are required for all programs. The remaining indoor pools remain closed until further notice.
Learn to swim or enjoy lane swimming at reopened indoor pools . Our instructors will help you become comfortable in the water and give you the confidence you need to meet your goals.
Note: All patrons registered in aquatic activities must participate in the water. No spectators allowed.

Cancelling a registration

If you no longer want to use your Recreation Pass, learn how to receive a refund.
We are offering a limited selection of activities and following safety protocols so everyone can recreate responsibly. Please do not come to the recreation facility unless you have received a confirmation call that a spot has become available. Only those with confirmed registration will be allowed inside.
To ensure fairness for all, we ask that everyone limits to one activity per day.
Mask Use at Indoor Pools
- Mask use remains mandatory inside recreation facilities until July 18. Masks are not required while swimming but must be worn when in transition.
- Patrons are required to wear a mask in change rooms, lobby spaces and on the pool deck.
- Masks can be removed for showering.
- Swimmers can remove their mask when entering the water.
- Swimmers must maintain physical distance from other swimmers in the water and on the pool deck.
- The City of Surrey is operating aquatic services following guidelines from the BC & Yukon Lifesaving Society and the BC Recreation and Parks Association.
For Everyone’s Safety:
Pools will have reduced capacity to ensure physical distancing can be maintained.
Patrons who are sick will not be allowed entry.
Come dressed to swim. Change room access will be limited.
Patrons must shower prior to using the pool.
Lockers are now available but we recommend leaving valuables at home.
Follow directional signage around the pool.
Enhanced first aid and lifeguard rescue procedures will be in place.
Expect enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols.
Patrons may bring their own life jackets/goggles. The pool will provide life jackets by request.
Pool toys will not be permitted.
Hot tubs will be open. Steam room, saunas, and tots pool are closed.
No private rentals or birthday party bookings.
Exit promptly when your session is finished.
