About The New Recruit
Donated to the City of Surrey by the Port Kells Community Association, this group sculpture was commissioned to acknowledge the community service of local Firehall #7 which borders the site of this sculpture and Port Kells Centennial Community Hall. This life-sized sculpture recognizes Surrey firefighters and the significant role they play in our community, not only protecting our community, but also serving as role models to children and youth. It is made of bronze-coloured concrete.
